José Antonio Fernández CarbajalBorn in 1954, Mr. Fernández became the Chief Executive Officer of FEMSA in January 1995 and Chairman of the Board in March 2001. He joined FEMSA in 1987 and occupied various positions in the company's corporate department as well as in the commercial area of Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma Brewery. Mr. Fernández was also Chief Executive Officer of Oxxo. He is Chairman of the Board of Coca-Cola FEMSA and Vice-Chairman of the Board of ITESM. Mr. Fernández holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering and an MBA from ITESM.
Federico ReyesBorn in 1945, Mr. Reyes joined FEMSA in 1992 and until 1993 was the Director of Corporate Development, after which he worked with FEMSA as an external consultant. Between 1993 and 1999, he was Chief Executive Officer of Seguros Monterrey Aetna and Valores Monterrey Aetna; and Executive Vice-President of the Insurance and Pension Division at Bancomer Financial Group. He rejoined FEMSA in 1999 as Chief Financial Officer of FEMSA until he was appointed Vice President of Corporate Development. Mr. Reyes holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from ITESM.
Javier AstaburuagaBorn in 1959, Mr. Astaburuaga joined FEMSA in 1982 as a financial information analyst and later acquired experience in corporate development, administration, and finance. Between 1993 and 2005, he held various senior positions at FEMSA Cerveza, including Sales Director for the North of Mexico and Co-CEO of FEMSA Cerveza from 2004 until his appointment to the position of Chief Financial Officer of FEMSA in January 2006. He has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from ITESM.
Alfonso Garza GarzaAlfonso Garza joined FEMSA in 1985 and was named Executive Vice President of Human Resources in 2005. Prior to that, he held various positions at FEMSA Cerveza and FEMSA Empaques (Packaging), including the management of FEMSA Packaging and Grafo Regia.
Mr. Garza Garza earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from ITESM and completed post-graduate courses at IPADE.
Genaro BorregoBorn in 1949 Mr. Borrego joined FEMSA in 2007 appointed as Director of Corporate Affairs. Among his professional and political trajectory, he held the leadership of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI, from its Spanish initials) and was elected Federal Representative. Prior to joining FEMSA, Mr. Borrego was Constitutional Governor of the State of Zacatecas from 1986 to 1992, General Director of the Mexican Social Security Institute from 1993 to 2000 and he was elected to the Senate of the Republic for the State of Zacatecas from 2000 to 2006. He holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana.
José GonzálezBorn in 1951, Mr. González assumed his current position in 2002. He joined FEMSA in 1973 and held various positions in the organization, including Chief Financial Officer of FEMSA Cerveza, Director of Planning and Corporate Development of FEMSA, and Chief Executive Officer of FEMSA Logística. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and an MBA degree from IPADE. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Carlos SalazarBorn in 1951, Mr. Salazar has spent his entire career with FEMSA, where he has held senior positions in several subsidiaries, including General Manager of Grafo Regia and Chief Executive Officer of FEMSA Cerveza. He was appointed CEO of Coca-Cola FEMSA in 2000. He was President of the Comision Siglo XXI for the city of Monterrey. Mr. Salazar holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from ITESM and performed postgraduate work in Business Administration and Economic Development in Italy.
Jorge Luis RamosBorn in 1952, Mr. Ramos joined FEMSA in 1996 as a Human Resources Director. He held this position until 1999, when he became the Sales Director of FEMSA Cerveza for the South of Mexico. In 2003 he was appointed Co-Chief Executive Officer of FEMSA Cerveza until he was named Chief Executive Officer of FEMSA Cerveza in 2005. Prior to joining FEMSA, he held director positions in various companies, including Industrias Monterrey, Grupo Financiero Serfin, Orion and Hylsa. He has a Bachelor's degree from ITESM and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
Eduardo PadillaBorn in 1955, Mr. Padilla joined FEMSA in 1997 as a Director of Strategic Planning. In January 2000, he became the CEO of the Strategic Businesses Division. Prior to joining FEMSA, Mr. Padilla spent 20 years at Grupo Alfa, where he was the Chief Executive Officer of the Terza subsidiary. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering from ITESM and an MBA from Cornell University.
