About Us

We began operations in 1890 with the founding of our brewery in Monterrey, Mexico. Today, over a century later, we have grown from a brewer into a complete beverage company with integrated soft drink, beer, and retail operations.

While our core businesses are soft drinks and beer, our fast-growing chain of Oxxo convenience stores and our packaging and logistics operations foster and accelerate the strategic growth of our core beverage businesses by enabling us to increase the availability of our products and achieve greater operational efficiencies.

Competitive Strengths

The combination of our production, distribution, and sales infrastructure creates a strong platform for growth in Latin America.

Leading Market Position

We are among the largest beverage companies in our market territories. The total population in our territories exceeds 215 million.

Broad Portfolio of Top Brands

Our differentiated portfolio of beverages comprises more than 75 soft-drinks including brand Coca-Cola, one of the most widely recognized brands in the world, more than 20 beer brands, 1 flavored alcoholic beverages brand and 1 ready-to-drink coffee brand.

Well-developed Distribution Network

We sell our beverages at more than 2 million points of sale throughout Latin America.

Growing Presence in U.S. Beer Market

Tecate is currently the fourth largest imported beer brand in the United States based on annual sales. We expect further growth from our distribution agreement with Heineken USA, which began January 1, 2005 and has been extended until 2017 in a long term agreement.

Sophisticated Information Systems

We have made significant investments in information-gathering and processing systems that enable us to improve the efficiency and efficacy of our production, marketing, and distribution processes.

Proven Record of Profitable Growth

From 1998 to 2007, our total sales and income from operations have increased at compound annual growth rates of 17% and 16%, respectively.
